Green Initiatives

At The Penn Stater, we’re committed to practices that benefit the environment—from purchasing local, organic foods to using eco-friendly packaging to repurposing solid wood furniture.

The Penn Stater was honored with a Waste Watcher Award for exemplary performance in recycling, waste reduction, reuse, and composting, as well as the GREENS Award at the Annual Global Renewable Energy Expo Networking Summit.  The Penn Stater was also honored as one of the Centre County Green Business Partners for their commitment to sustainability and sustainable practices.
